Alivira Animal Health has emerged as India's largest animal health company with presence of near 2.000 people in more than 100 countries and eight manufacturing facilities based in Spain, Germany, Brazil, India and Turkey. In the Benelux their products are being distributed by their veterinary pharmaceutical subsidiary Fendigo, which was created in 1995. Their philosophy is based on sales and marketing of veterinary and health products for pets, horses and farm animals. By a wide portfolio of products they respond to the actual needs of veterinarians, farmers and other parties of the animal health sector.

Fendigo's headquarters is located in Oudergem in the center of Belgium, near Brussels and their second office is located in Helmond in the Netherlands. For the Benelux, we are looking for a:

Product Manager Benelux

The job of Product Manager consists of leading and directing the marketing and the technical support of veterinary practices. You work in close coordination with other functions in the team as there are (Key) Account Managers, a Sales Manager and some Consultants. You will report directly to the general management and will have to be a credible and trustworthily contact for veterinarians, key opinion leaders, universities and animal health organizations.

Furthermore, there should be a balance between practical knowledge gathered from the field and scientific knowledge from desk work, eventually membership of scientific organizations or institutes to continuously add solid technical and practical value to the Animal Health Team and to the market.

Principal tasks & responsibilities

• Maintain high level of expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services, pricing, competition, market and industry trends.
• Be responsible for developing and implementing the annual marketing plan in line with the strategic plan and local budget plan (forecast, launches, pricing, positioning etc).
• Develop marketing campaigns and activities to support the sales team in achieving the sales growth
  targets.
• Liaise with third party marketing providers / marketing agencies to ensure compliant high quality marketing materials. Active knowledge of procedures and principles prescribed by the company and by the legislation and their application in communications towards customers.
• Publicity: review of technical information, print artworks and print proofs.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of new local websites for the Benelux.
• Technical education of the Sales Team on a regular base as well as presentations for different stakeholders.
• Being first point of contact in technical support of veterinary practices.
• Participation in relevant trainings / courses and/or congresses.
• Write/publish scientific articles for external sources like local press, (international) magazines, etc..
• Interaction with international Veterinarian Associations as well as with specialized veterinarians/PHD’s of Vet Universities and laboratories.
• Support the implementation of a new CRM system in close collaboration with the Sales Manager / Key Account Manager.
• Support Pharmacovigilance and provide support to customers on this regard.

• Level of education: Master of Veterinary Medicine.
• A professional marketing qualification is a pré.
• Experience in the animal health segment e.g. as a Practitioner, PhD, Product Manager, Marketeer, Technical (Service) Manager, Advisor etc..
• Strong communication, influencing skills.
• Builds successful and effective relationships with vets, key opinion leaders, universities etc..
• Knows your stuff – able to retain and recall product information to a detailed level.
• A strong focus on planning, and a balance of tactical planning with day to day operational requirements
• Ability to work independently.
• Drive and resilience, demonstrated with a persistent, never give up attitude.
• Confidence, liability and an authoritative personality.
• IT literate. Able to use standard business software and communication tools.
• Fluent in Dutch, French & English.
